Local support we can bank on

NEW PARTNERS: Celebrating the partnership announcement between Suncorp and YellowBridge QLD are from left April Cavanagh, Penny Hamilton, Donita Bellette and Julie Soric.

YellowBridge QLD will be a beneficiary of Suncorp’s inaugural Brighter Futures Workplace Giving program.

Over the next two years, any time or money that Suncorp staff donate will be matched by the well-known banking and insurance group.

The proceeds will be used to renovate The Stepping Stone Cottage, which is located beside YellowBridge’s youth accommodation facility, The Haven.

The Cottage is an essential ‘stepping stone’, helping young people get a taste for independent living before they make the big step into their own place.

It was originally built by the founders of The Haven and maintained by the generosity of volunteers and the community. Now, it will receive a much-needed renovation thanks to that same community spirit.

Suncorp’s donations will also support the Youth Driving Program which helps young people at The Haven to complete their 100 hours of supervised driving for their licence.

“We firmly believe in our mantra of WE ARE BETTER TOGETHER and this latest partnership is proof of it,” YellowBridge CEO Penny Hamilton said.

“Thank you Suncorp and to your generous and big-hearted staff. It does make a difference.”
